Siro Yarn is made with a process of Siro Spinning or Elitwist spinning. In this way, the yarn is made into 2ply on the ring spinning machine. There are lot of benefits of Siro spinned yarns. Siro Yarns are available in Carded, Combed, Carded Compact and Combed Compact.
Weaving yarns are normally two-fold; that is made of two yarns twisted together. Normally the strands must be first spun and then two-folded. Siro-spun reduces the cost by combining spinning and two-folding; allowing a twofold-like yarn to be produced in one step from wool top.
The single-yarn strength of Siro yarn is higher than that of two-fold yarn. The diameter of Siro yarn is more than that of two-fold yam. Twist level in Siro yarn is lower than that in the two-fold yarn. Siro yam is less abrasion-resistant than the conventional yam.
